I recently came across this concept of a “cozy entrepreneur,” and everything in my spirit stood at attention.

“Yes, yes, yes,” I thought to myself. This is me.

If you’re new to the terminology, a “cozy entrepreneur” (also called a “soft business owner”) is someone who is anti-hustle and intentionally puts lifestyle before business. It’s running a company with spaciousness, creativity, and rest at the center—not as afterthoughts.

For me, that looks like:

  • Prioritizing integrity + intentionality in all areas of life + business
  • Keeping deep, focused, creative work at the forefront
  • Always making space for what matters most to me in life 
  • Cultivating tight, effective systems that work for me while I’m offline

Emphasis on the tight systems.

I have a bunch of them: Manychat, Notion, Canva, Whispr…. But I would say the mother load– the system that keeps my entire business running in the background while I rest is Flodesk.
