Plenty of resources and books I’ve encountered over the years have helped me go deeper in my prayer life. Here are just a few.
There is a world of difference between the work of a writer who downplays their craft, and the writing of a writer who dignifies their work.
So today I want to talk about three ways to intentionally dignify your creative work.
If you want to make prayer a bigger priority in 2023, I encourage you to try this journal out. This journal has helped me become steady, patient, and prevailing in prayer over the years.
We live in a culture of constant feedback and praise. It’s very easy to start thinking highly of ourselves when people are commenting on our days, our disciplines, and our creations. We can start to think it’s all on us, that we are here to churn out content and feed the beast of social media.
What do you do when God gives you an idea for a book? God-given ideas should be handled with care and a lot of times they need more time to come to fruition.
At the end of May 2021, I set out to complete a challenge: 1,000 unplugged hours in under 365 days. Taking on this challenge was one of the best things I could do for myself: mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. If you want to take the challenge yourself, you can find all the details here.
On my 33rd birthday, I started unplugging my phone and disconnecting from social media. I wanted to be more present, experience more contentment, and engage in focused work. I made a challenge for myself to complete 1,000 unplugged hours in 365 days.
When I packed up my bags and jumped on a plane to spend four months across the ocean, I had two very specific goals in mind:
Learn to love red wine
Learn to love coffee.
I recently had a new mama reach out and tell me how deflated she felt over quiet time since having a baby. She wasn’t able to do her typical reading and digging in the scriptures for an hour and she felt stuck. She started to believe the lie that God was expecting more from her instead of what she had as a new mom. I think this is a lot of us as new moms. We’re moving from a productive, peaceful quiet time to sleepless nights, toddler tantrums, and meeting the needs of little ones. Our priorities have shifted and that feels hard. It can sometimes feel impossible to get away with God.
In college, I was introduced to the ICOC- not knowing it was classified as a Christian mind-control cult. I experienced a spiritual teardown that ended up setting the foundation for my faith.

I’d been dealing with chronic fatigue for months. I felt exhausted by the smallest tasks. I couldn’t lose weight. My mood was all over the place. No matter how healthy I tried to be, nothing worked.

One of my most vivid memories of the holiday season growing up was running downstairs every morning to check the Advent calendar hung on the wall. It’s a tradition my mom started with us early. Each morning, we’d open up a new flap of the cardboard calendar and read the verse or part of the Christmas story for the day. It was a rhythm that began on December 1 and ended on Christmas Day.
Take the guesswork out of Teacher Appreciation Day, holiday gifts, and beyond. This free printable Teacher Questionnaire download, packed with questions about all about their favorite things, is designed to help you get to know your child’s teacher in a thoughtful and intentional way.
Let’s face it, with COVID spiking again, we aren’t going many places. We’re cozied up at home and definitely taking the opportunity to wear pajamas all day whenever we can. I had a blast curating this selection of baby pajamas just in time for Valentine’s Day. It might feel too early but these pajamas get scooped up fast! Enjoy!
I’m so grateful you’re here!
