Yes, I know discipline can seem like a scary— sometimes negative or misunderstood— word but I promise there is nothing to be afraid of.
As someone who deals with depression and anxiety, building up my discipline muscle has made all the difference in how healthy I am and the freedom I experience in daily life. I went from being someone who didn’t know how to cook and only did things when they “felt” good to an entirely different person who meal preps, gets a daily workout in, and has doubled her productivity levels when it comes to the work I do.
I’ll tell you straight: I don’t think discipline is something you are born with, I think it is a muscle you build over time. Every habit, every small step, and every new day counts.
I never want you to think you cannot become a more disciplined version of yourself. All you need is the will to show up and the stamina to keep going when things get tough (as they alway do).
